Job Overview
Davis Ground Works requires a Class 3 or experienced Class 5 driver willing to upgrade to Class 3. Training and resources are provided to obtain a Class 3 licence. Davis Ground Works provides upstream chemical transport services from Lloydminster to oilfield wellsites and plants in the midwest area. Transferring various chemical products such as demulsifier, defoamer, etc. from truck to receiving tanks on locations. This is a Monday to Friday position with stat holidays off. Approximately 45 to 50 hours per week. More hours available if willing to work.
Trucks are located in Blackfoot, AB and Islay, AB.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 3 or 5 commercial vehicles to transport freight according to schedule and route plans
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Comply with all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 or 5 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or in automotive repair is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to handle freight securely and efficiently using appropriate equipment
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance
- Ability to work Monday through Friday with consistent hours
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy items, and perform vehicle inspections
- Prior experience in commercial driving or related fields is advantageous but not required
