Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child and Youth Worker to support children and adolescents in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working with young people, especially those with disabilities, and possess experience in teaching or caregiving roles. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging activities tailored to the needs of children and youth, including those with disabilities.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster a safe and inclusive environment.
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, recreational activities, and personal care as needed.
- Support children’s educational development through teaching basic skills or facilitating learning activities.
- Monitor behavior and intervene appropriately to ensure safety at all times.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create individualized plans that support each child's growth.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, progress, and any incidents or concerns.
- Promote social skills, independence, and positive interactions among participants.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational or caregiving settings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
- Teaching experience or background is a plus.
- Compassionate nature with patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a supportive environment for children and youth.
This role is vital in fostering the growth, development, and well-being of children and adolescents through dedicated care and meaningful engagement.
Pay: $300.00 per day
