Corporate Controller
Our client is a respected and expanding industrial organization, recognized for delivering exceptional products, technical expertise, and customer-focused solutions across the Western Canadian market.
Reporting to the president and working out of their Drayton Valley office, we are currently in an active search for a Controller to lead and manage their corporate activities. The focus for this role is to provide a strategic data-driven approach to oversee the finances, analyze data, and advise to help senior leadership make effective business decisions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Managing the budget process
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Preparation of the required financial reporting and analysis for the business.
- To develop a working understanding of the company business, including the knowledge of the processes and flow of financial transactions and information as they relate to the operations and the financial statements for the business.
- Back-up support within the office administration groups to ensure continuity of the payroll, AP/AR and other office functions at these businesses may be required from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Accreditation and accounting CPA, finance, or similar required
- At least five years experience as a senior financial manager or controller
- Project accounting experience considered an asset.
- Entrepreneurial flair is an asset
- Advanced competency in financial management and accounting software
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations
- Extensive experience in corporate finances, auditing, and performance management
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary of $140-150K in addition to performance bonuses, benefit program.
Pay: $140,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
