Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional English Tour Guide/Driver Guide to deliver engaging, safe, and memorable travel experiences across Western Canada and the West Coast. This role combines exceptional customer service with strong driving skills and storytelling ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide guests in a courteous, professional manner (both verbally and writing)
- Provide engaging commentary, including fun facts, history, and cultural insights based on tour itineraries
- Safely operate tour vehicles while ensuring passenger comfort and security
- Maintain schedules to deliver smooth, timely, and enjoyable travel experiences
- Assist guests with hotel check-ins, tickets, reservations, and special requests
- Handle unexpected situations and resolve itinerary challenges effectively
- Communicate clearly using microphones or other devices when required
- Ensure compliance with all local, company, and regulatory safety standards
- Report incidents promptly to appropriate departments
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid BC Commercial Driver's License (Class 4 unrestricted/Class 2/ Class 1)
- Ability to pass a drug test and maintain a drug-free record
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Commercial driving record or (N) print from ICBC (National Safety Code abstract)
- Driver factor report from ICBC
- Personal driving record from ICBC
- Insurance and claims history record from ICBC
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to travel frequently, including cross-border (Canada/United States)
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Criminal record check

Assets
- Previous tour guiding or relevant customer service experience
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., Chinese, French, Spanish)
- Knowledge of tourism practices such as tipping customs, currency exchange, and cultural etiquette
Work Environment
- Primarily outdoor work with combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Frequent travel required; vehicle provided by employer
- Dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on guest satisfaction

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
