Full-Time / Part-Time – Northern Alberta Traffic Control
About Us
We are a long-time reliable and safety-focused Traffic Control Company located in Fort Saskatchewan and are currently seeking a like-minded Traffic Control Person. The successful candidates will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and directing traffic control operations to ensure the safety of workers, motorists, and the public at various job sites.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, can work in fast-paced environments, and are committed to maintaining a safe work area.
Responsibilities
- Set up and take down traffic control equipment and signage
- Direct traffic safely through work zones
- Set up road blocks and detours effectively
- Follow approved traffic accommodation plans and safety procedures
- Communicate clearly with crew members, supervisors, and the public
- Follow direction from supervisors and management
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust traffic control as needed
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment
- Perform general labour duties when required
- Complete required paperwork and daily reports
Qualifications
- Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification an asset, not required
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to provide a 5 year drivers abstract
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Availability to be on call day or night
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
