Fleet Services by ATI Canada is seeking a Service Advisor to join our team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day to day coordination of front office operations, customer communication, scheduling, estimating ,parts procurement, and administrative support.
The Service Advisor will spend the day actively supporting customers, technicians, suppliers, and shop operations while ensuring work flows efficiently from vehicle arrival to completion. Success in this role requires initiative, adaptability, and a hands on approach in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide professional, friendly service.
- Schedule appointments and manage the daily shop calendar.
- Prepare estimates and communicate repair recommendations.
- Create, update, and close work orders using the shop management software.
- Source and order parts from suppliers while balancing quality, availability, and cost.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain shop supplies and monitor inventory levels.
- Communicate repair progress, approvals, and completion with customers.
- Process invoices and coordinate customer payments.
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records.
- Assist with warranty administration and documentation as required.
- Support the company’s internal fleet maintenance scheduling and record keeping.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in an automotive service, parts, or customer service environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Mitchell 1 shop management software and ProDemand is considered a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, repair procedures, and service terminology.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. The ability to interpret information, prioritize work, evaluate repair options, and make sound decisions is crucial in this role.
- Comfortable sourcing parts, comparing supplier options, and balancing quality, availability, and cost.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships.
- Proficient with computers and adaptable to learning new software and technology.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Employment Package
- $30-$40 per hour(+4% vacation pay), depending on experience
- Monday to Friday schedule. 8am - 5pm
