Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Plumber/Pipefitter (Journeyman or senior apprentice with a minimum of 5 years’ experience) with strong knowledge of mechanical rooms, pumps, filtration, and water treatment systems.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, holds high standards for themselves and their team, and is confident leading projects in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects and supervise field staff
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Coordinate and manage on-site tools, materials, and equipment
- Ensure installations meet all applicable codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings and valve/tag schedules
- Attend project meetings with designers and trades
- Complete daily documentation (timesheets, hazard assessments, logs, safety forms)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite in accordance with company safety standards
- Order and manage materials to support project timelines
Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter OR 4th–5th year apprentice with minimum 5 years’ experience
- Strong experience with plumbing/mechanical systems, including pumps and water treatment
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to travel within Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario (occasional overnight stays)
Requirements
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal record check/security clearance
