Job Summary
Wabash MFG Inc is looking for an enthusiastic Manufacturing Facility Maintenance Technician to help maintain all buildings and equipment.
Duties and responsibilities
- Working independently or with a team to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient function of all equipment and buildings in a manufacturing facility
- Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Reading manuals, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine safe and efficient work procedures.
- Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts.
- Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
- Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
- Ensuring that operational safety devices function properly upon completion of repairs, modifications, and installations.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Will actively be participating in the PM program on all fabricating, ventilation, heating, hoisting, painting, and other facility related equipment
- Will occasionally be required to be able to comfortably work safely at heights off manlifts, ladders, or roofs.
- Maintain site security system.
- Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
- Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
- Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.
- Ensures all tasks are done in the safest, most efficient way possible.
- Be vigilant for opportunities of improvement for efficiency, processes, safety, and equipment
- Assist co-workers and supervisors with related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial electrician work, HVAC systems, welding, boiler operation, or related fields within manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience and low voltage system expertise.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, CMMS software, and PLC programming or troubleshooting.
- Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex machinery problems quickly and accurately.
- Good communication skills for clear documentation and teamwork.
- Prior experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing settings would be an asset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
