Holy Cross Eye is seeking an individual to work in our fast paced, patient focused specialist clinic as an Ophthalmic Assistant. The successful candidate will be a certified Medical Office Assistant and have previous experience in optic healthcare.
Responsibilities include:
- Accurately performing patient screening/testing which includes: patient history, visual acuity, intraocular pressure, instilling drops
- Accurately performing diagnostic testing, including: visual field, OCT, corneal topography, AScan
- Educating the patient on all preliminary testing
- Efficiently and accurately documenting all patient information
- Maintaining, calibrating and cleaning all equipment used throughout the day
- Returning and triaging phone calls to patients and other healthcare professionals in a timely manner
- Greeting patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Utilizing AHS software to connect to patient records
- Other duties as assigned
