The Role: Mehtoj Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to oversee and support our transportation safety program. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations, maintain safety records, investigate incidents, and promote a strong safety culture across our fleet. Duties include:
- Recruit, onboard, and maintain employee records for all company positions.
- Administer electronic and physical personnel and safety files.
- Assist in resolving employee relations matters.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation safety regulations.
- Investigate incidents, document unsafe acts, and prepare safety reports.
- Monitor driver compliance, including licensing, training, and required certifications.
- Coordinate employee safety training and orientation programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 year of experience in an HR & Safety Generalist role
- Experience in data & file management
- Strong recruiting and retention abilities
- Very strong organizational skills
- Must be personable and have good communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in the transportation industry would be an asset
- Experience administering ELD’s would be an asset
- CPHR or CPHR Candidate designation would be an asset
