Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality massage therapy services to clients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of various massage techniques, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their needs and preferences.
Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic massages.
- Assess client conditions by reviewing medical histories and conducting thorough consultations.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments or self-care practices.
- Document client sessions accurately, including treatment plans and any relevant medical terminology.
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing any client concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to enhance the overall client experience.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist with a valid state license or certification.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Prior experience in a spa or wellness center is preferred but not mandatory.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00-$70.00 per hour
