Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is proud to be hiring on behalf of a well-established and reputable public accounting firm in St. Catharine's for a Senior Assurance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant to take on a leadership role within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. The successful candidate will oversee audit and assurance engagements, mentor staff, and play a key role in maintaining the firm’s high standards of client service and financial accuracy.
This position offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, plus bonus and overtime pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, RRSP matching, and paid vacation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audit and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all work meets GAAP and CAS standards.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, reviewing their work and providing ongoing feedback and training.
- Manage compilation and review engagements, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with professional standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–4 years of experience in accounting
- Experience preparing and reviewing NTRs, reviews, and audits.
- Previous experience leading or supervising audit engagements.
- CPA designation (preferred) or currently working toward CPA completion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, GAAP, and CAS.
- Proficiency with CaseWare, QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting/audit software.
- Advanced analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Natural leadership and team mentorship ability.
- Client-focused, collaborative approach with high professional integrity.
- Critical thinker with sound judgment and initiative.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional office environment and managing multiple priorities
