S-FAB Fabrication Inc. is growing and we are looking for a talented Brake Press/Roller Operator to join our team! We offer competitive salary and benefits for our dynamic team. Facility is located in Georgetown.
AFTERNOON SHIFT: Monday to Thursday: 3:30 pm to 2:00 am
- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC or manual brake press machines for bending sheet and plate metal.
- Operate manual or CNC plate rolling machines to form steel and other metals.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and sequence of operations.
- Select proper tooling and materials for each job.
- Make adjustments to programs and machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Inspect and measure finished workpieces using calipers, tape measures, protractors, and gauges to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain proper documentation of production work and quality inspections.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of brake press equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating a brake press in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- 1+ year experience operating plate rolls or similar fabrication machinery.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Proficient in using measuring tools and quality control devices.
- Understanding of bend allowances, back gauges, tooling types, and materials.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy objects, including continuous standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing for 8-hour shift.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
