Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sheet Metal Shop Forman. We are hoping to find someone that is interested in long-term employment and wants for grow with the team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the sheet metal fabrication team to meet production goals efficiently.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality using lean manufacturing principles.
- Oversee material planning and inventory management through ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms to ensure timely supply chain flow.
- Monitor quality control procedures throughout the fabrication process to maintain high standards and compliance with specifications.
- Lead assembly operations, ensuring proper techniques are followed and safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
- Conduct regular training sessions on safety procedures, process updates, and technical skills to develop team capabilities.
Experience
- Several years experiance as a Red Seal Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker. Sheet Metal Shop experiance would be a definate asset.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal assembly, fabrication techniques, and equipment operation.
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge.
- Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements using lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and practices within a manufacturing setting.
- Abilty to schedule tasks for ultimate productivity.
- Multi-tasking abilities.
Pay: $42.50-$48.00 per hour
