We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team in a stable, long‑term role. This position is intended for an experienced journeyman who brings several years of post‑certification experience and who is comfortable acting as a technical and knowledge leader for teammates. You can work independently, support other technicians, and contribute to the overall success and growth of the business.
Job Responsibilities
Working as part of the Service Team, you will be responsible for a wide range of automotive repair and maintenance duties, including:
Diagnosis & Inspections
- Road testing and customer communication
- Performing computerized and manual diagnostic testing
- Electronically documenting findings and repair recommendations
- Performing inspections on every vehicle
Technical Repairs
- Completing repairs across a variety of makes and models
- Ensuring high standards of workmanship and quality
- Performing light welding repairs as required
Customer Service
- Communicating clearly with customers and service personnel
- Explaining work performed and preventative maintenance needs
Team Leadership
- Acting as a technical resource and mentor for other technicians
- Supporting diagnostics and complex repairs
- Helping maintain shop standards, efficiency, and best practices
About You – Required Qualifications
- Licensed Journeyman Automotive Service Technician
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive trade (post‑certification)
- Experience with CVIPs and OPIs
- Strong diagnostic, electrical, and mechanical skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Dependable team player with a willingness to coach and mentor
- Capable of working independently and taking direction when required
- Able to supply a complete set of hand tools and impact wrenches
- Physically capable of lifting up to 22 kg.
- Valid, clean driver’s license and criminal record
- Intermediate computer skills and experience with diagnostic equipment
- Ability to follow and support shop policies and procedures
