Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Export Coordinator to join our logistics and supply chain team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing export operations, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring seamless transportation of goods internationally. Duties
- Coordinate export container pickups and deliveries with customers, trucking dispatchers, terminals, and shipping lines.
- Schedule trucking appointments for container pickups, port deliveries, and returns.
- Track container movements and provide shipment status updates to customers.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, steamship lines, and port terminals.
- Monitor deadlines, including vessel cut-off times and documentation cut-offs.
- Resolve operational issues such as port delays, container shortages, appointment changes, and customs holds.
- Maintain accurate records in transportation management systems (TMS) and company databases.
- Ensure compliance with transportation, customs, and export regulations.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of container shipping, logistics, and export procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight shipping deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and transportation/logistics software.
- Attention to detail for documentation accuracy.
