General Accountability:
This position will work supporting warehouse and logistics functions performing shipping and receiving tasks for supplies and client inventory and maintain accurate receiving records.
Specific Responsibilities:
Prepare packaging for outgoing shipments while ensuring proper protection of goods;
Ensure receiving records are complete and accurate;
Maintain receiving records for company supplies and ensure necessary paperwork is forwarded to the accounting department;
Sorting, locating and retrieving sample pulps and rejects from the warehouse facilities;
Accurate data entry and inventory control of samples, pulp warehouse sample flow management, scanning of pallets and bins;
Assist with inventory control of samples, pulp and reject storage, disposal and return to clients in a timely manner;
Maintains vehicle inspection logs under minimal supervision
Accurate data entry;
Client freight and supply rebilling
Print organize and log packing slips into ERP (Oracle)
Load and unload pallets of supplies with the forklift;
Deliver incoming shipments to the proper Departments;
Local delivery and pick up as needed;
Provides assistance to clients and other ALS Branches when necessary
General shipping, receiving and supplies warehousing functions as needed;
Consolidate supply shipments according to guidance from superiors;
Backup to the Warehouse / Logistics Coordinator;
Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
Other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and thoroughly;
Ability to work within a fast-paced, high volume environment;
Good understanding of computer applications;
Good English communication skills both written and verbal;
Ability to work within a team environment;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications:
Certificate or diploma of logistics and transportation is preferred or relevant experience;
Valid Canadian driver’s license with clean driving history required;
Fork lift license and experience operating a forklift an asset (on site certification will be required):
1 year of previous shipping/receiving experience preferred;
Excellent safety record.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
Extensive walking or movement, bending, kneeling, and working with machines;
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time throughout the shift;
Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Our benefits include:
An estimated hourly pay range of $ 25.58 - $28.62 CAD at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
