SEASONAL CAMPUS WORKERS – MAINTENANCE & GROUNDS
Shawnigan Lake School is looking to boost our maintenance and grounds teams with Seasonal Campus Workers (opportunities from April/May 2026 through August 2026) to assist in a variety of areas of our School campus.
Duties could include:
· Painting
· Construction and carpentry
· Facilities maintenance
· Furniture moves and furniture assembly
· Mechanical work
· Mowing and weed eating
· Watering, weeding and garden clean up
· Other maintenance and grounds-related tasks
We are looking for team members with the following:
· Aged 16 or older
· Availability to work full-time over the summer (preferred), with flexibility to work a varied work schedule and hours
· Energetic with a willingness to take on new tasks and learn new skills
· Team players
· Creative problem solvers with adaptable mindsets
· Leadership skills
· Able to work in variable climate conditions, indoors and outdoors, with and around various machinery
· Experienced in the use of hand tools, electric tools, hand carts & furniture dollys (preferred)
· Experienced in use of landscaping equipment, including lawn mowers, weed eaters, power washer etc. (preferred)
· Class 5 BC Driver’s License (an asset)
· WHMIS certification (an asset)
Wage: $18.63-$21.74 per hour (depending on experience, qualifications and internal parity)
