Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing metal structures, frameworks, and other components in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Welder will utilize a variety of tools and machinery to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Operate machinery such as AWP's, welding machines, and plasma cutting equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and welding metal components.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations.
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise during the construction process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in operating AWP's, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment is preferred.
- Experience using calipers and machining tools for precise measurements.
- Basic math skills for accurate calculations related to projects.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
