Job Type: Part-Time Contract (June – August)
Hours: 16-24 hrs/week (variable shifts)

About Us:
The Chemainus Theatre Festival is a professional, not-for-profit theatre company welcoming over 40,000 guests each year. Beyond theatre performances, the Chemainus Theatre experience includes the Playbill Dining Room, Fireside Lounge and Gallery Gift Shop.
Position Overview:
This is an opportunity for a post-secondary student to gain meaningful work experience in a vibrant arts environment. As a Ticketing & Sales Agent, you will be part of a dynamic team that handles all aspects of Box Office operations including:
- Selling tickets, subscriptions, dining and hotel packages, gift certificates, and any marketed packages using Spektrix software
- Assisting customers in person, by phone, and online
- Processing transactions and balancing daily cash
- Supporting online ticketing and troubleshooting basic issues
- Facilitate charitable giving campaigns and processing donations
- Maintaining customer records and data accuracy
- Assisting with reports and special projects (such as marketing emails or research)
Schedule & Hours:
- 16-24 hours/week (variable)
- Shifts will be primarily Wednesday – Sunday and will include days, weekends, and some evenings

- Customer service & communication
- Sales and marketing fundamentals
- Data entry and reporting
- CRM software and digital tools
- Working in a fast-paced, professional environment
You may also have opportunities to explore other customer-facing departments based on your interests.
Who You Are:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, outgoing, and enjoys engaging with people
- Able to communicate clearly on the phone and in-person
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable with typing and using computers (preferably Microsoft 365)
- Able to handle a fast-paced work environment
- Interested in arts, culture, or hospitality
- Eager to learn and take initiative

Eligibility Requirements:

- Be a registered student at a Canadian post-secondary institution
- Be legally allowed to work in Canada
- Be either a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted refugee protection under the law
