Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Vehicle Appraiser to join our body shop team. Our shop mainly performs collision and cosmetic repairs. The Vehicle Appraiser will be responsible for accurately evaluating vehicle damage, creating repair estimates, documenting findings, and coordinating with insurance partners and internal repair staff to ensure efficient and high-quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles to assess damage resulting from collisions, wear, or other incidents
- Prepare accurate and thorough repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software
- Upload estimates to required insurance and rental car platforms for review and approval
- Capture and upload clear, detailed photos of vehicle damage and repairs
- Identify necessary parts, labor, and repair procedures based on manufacturer and industry guidelines
- Communicate with internal staff regarding estimates, supplements, and approvals
- Write and submit supplements when additional damage is discovered during repairs
- Monitor repair progress to ensure estimates align with actual repair needs
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation for each repair file
- Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance requirements, and safety standards
- Assist with basic administrative and operational tasks related to the appraisal process
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with partners and team members
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a vehicle appraiser, estimator, or damage assessor (body shop or insurance experience preferred)
- Knowledge of auto body repair processes, parts, and materials
- Familiarity with estimating software (such as CCC, Mitchell, or Audatex preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills and comfort with uploading photos and documents
- Valid driver’s license

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and inspecting vehicles

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
