Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Long Haul Flatbed Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency on the road. A background in commercial driving, forklift operation, and automotive repair is highly desirable to support the diverse needs of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination while maintaining delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor vehicle issues during trips
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any unforeseen delays
- Follow company policies related to safety, security, and transportation regulations
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL license
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation such as forklifts
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues during trips
- Experience with long-distance driving routes preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
