Job Overview
The Yard Foreman is responsible for overseeing yard operations, inventory, production support, and loading. This role ensures materials and finished trusses are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently, and that production follows the schedule provided by the Operations Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily yard operations and ensure a safe, organized workspace.
- Manage inventory and report shortages or issues.
- Supervise production work to ensure schedules are followed.
- Ensure correct orders are staged and prepared for loading.
- Supervise and verify truck loading for accuracy and safety.
- Coordinate with drivers for efficient loading and departures.
- Operate company vehicles when required.
- Support yard and production staff and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Communicate production or inventory issues to the Operations Coordinator.
- Ensure quality checks are completed before orders leave the yard.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience in yard, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence.
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to read schedules and work orders.
This is a newly established position created to support the organization's strategic growth and expanding business operations.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
