Job Summary
GAMEYARD is hiring a part-time Digital Marketing Specialist to help us stay visible, trusted, and booked across Milton, Halton, Peel, and the West GTA.
This remote, hourly role manages GAMEYARD’s day-to-day digital presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Google Business Profile, and light website updates. The main job is to turn real GAMEYARD events into strong short-form content, local proof, customer trust, and booking inquiries.
The right person should understand how social content supports Meta campaigns, Google Ads, local SEO, Google Business Profile, reviews, landing pages, and website traffic. Hands-on experience with paid campaigns or SEO is a strong asset, but this is primarily a content and digital marketing execution role.
Most work is remote, but occasional local event capture may be needed. Ability to travel within approximately 50 km of Milton is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Manage GAMEYARD’s social presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and Google Business Profile.
- Turn each event into usable content within 48–72 hours, including short videos, photos, captions, stories, and Google Business Profile updates.
- Create content that supports bookings, not just views: backyard events, space-fit proof, weekday availability, birthday/family events, camps, schools, teams, corporate, and community groups.
- Edit short-form videos using CapCut, Adobe, Canva, or similar tools.
- Write captions in GAMEYARD’s voice: clear, local, family-friendly, safety-first, and conversion-focused.
- Maintain a simple 30–90 day content calendar with weekly priorities, campaign ideas, and posting schedule.
- Propose monthly campaign ideas, including seasonal promotions, weekday booking pushes, partnerships, and local community opportunities.
- Organize event media: select best clips/photos, label folders, track permission status, and prepare content packages.
- Support review follow-ups and help turn reviews into useful social proof.
- Monitor comments, DMs, and social interactions, and flag booking inquiries quickly.
- Coordinate with SEO, ads, website, and operations partners so content, campaigns, and website updates stay aligned.
- Prepare a weekly performance snapshot: best posts, reach, saves, profile visits, website clicks, calls/messages, leads, and next actions.
- Make light WordPress/Elementor updates when needed.
- Follow GAMEYARD brand rules and avoid aggressive, military, or unsafe wording.
Experience
- 2+ years of hands-on social media/content experience, especially Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and short-form video.
- Strong phone filming and short-video editing skills.
- Good copywriting skills with the ability to write clear, natural captions.
- Experience with a local service business, family business, events, camps, sports, recreation, or kids/family market is a strong asset.
- Familiar with Canva, CapCut, Google Drive, Meta Business Suite, Google Business Profile, and basic reporting.
- Basic understanding of Meta campaigns, Google Ads, local SEO, UTMs, GA4, Meta insights, and website traffic.
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO content, or local SEO is a strong asset.
- WordPress/Elementor experience is an asset.
- Organized, reliable, fast-moving, and able to work with real event deadlines.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and improving content based on performance.
- Able to attend occasional local events for content capture when needed.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
