Hybrid Night and House Stylist
Department: Styling
Reports To: Styling Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (12 months)
Position Summary
The Hybrid Stylist is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all public spaces throughout the hotel. This role combines overnight deep-cleaning duties with daytime public area maintenance, ensuring guests enjoy a clean, welcoming, and well-presented environment at all times. Combination of overnight and daytime shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Public Area Cleaning
- Clean and maintain hotel lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, public washrooms, fitness and spa facilities, food and beverage outlets and other guest-facing areas.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, sweep, and sanitize surfaces according to hotel standards.
- Remove fingerprints, smudges, and marks from glass, mirrors, doors, and fixtures.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers and replace liners as required.
- Monitor public areas for cleanliness and promptly address spills, debris, or safety hazards.
Overnight Cleaning Duties
- Perform deep cleaning of public spaces during low-traffic hours.
- Operate floor-care equipment as required.
- Clean and sanitize public washrooms, fitness facilities, and high-touch surfaces.
- Complete scheduled cleaning projects, including baseboards, vents, walls, and light fixtures.
- Set up public areas for the following day's operations.
Daytime Duties
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public spaces throughout the day.
- Respond promptly to Guest and Partner requests related to Styling needs.
- Restock washrooms and public area supplies.
- Support Room Styling operations during peak periods.
Health & Safety
- Follow all hotel health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged furnishings, and safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain compliance with workplace safety regulations and hotel policies.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and operate cleaning equipment.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
