Janex Auto Sales & Service is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our growing service team in Ottawa. This is an excellent opportunity for a registered apprentice to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while working alongside seasoned professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in performing mechanical diagnostics and repairs on a diverse range of vehicle makes and models.
- Execute comprehensive vehicle inspections to ensure safety and quality standards.
- Support the reconditioning process to reduce turnaround times and improve lot readiness.
- Maintain a clean and efficient workspace, adhering to all shop safety protocols.
- Document service findings and repairs accurately using dealership management software.
Qualifications
- Currently registered as an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice in Ontario.
- Basic technical understanding of engine systems, drivetrains, and electrical diagnostics.
- Familiarity with automotive software (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds or Dealertrack) is an asset.
- Strong work ethic with an "entrepreneurial mindset" and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
