Job Summary
Scarborough Dental office looking for professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth daily office operations. Experience with dental software and dental terminology is required, along with strong organizational skills and a welcoming demeanor.
Fluency in Tamil is required to effectively communicate with a significant portion of our patient community and provide excellent patient service.
Previous dental office experience, including international dental office experience, is required.

Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in efficiently using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately
- Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly
- Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
- Collect payments and process billing in compliance with office procedures
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure patient flow runs smoothly throughout the day
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a professional environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting
- Knowledge of dental terminology
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
- Office experience including front desk responsibilities and administrative support is advantageous
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for patients
- Fluency in Tamil is a strong asset due to the language needs of our patient community.
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
