We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate and dispatch our towing and roadside assistance team. The ideal candidate will manage customer calls, communicate effectively with clients and drivers, and utilize dispatch and management systems to ensure timely service and efficient operations. This role is essential to maintaining smooth daily operations and delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Answer customer calls for towing and roadside assistance services.
- Schedule and dispatch drivers and mechanics based on service requirements and location.
- Monitor drivers and mechanics to ensure timely response and service completion.
- Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and team members using multi-line phone systems and computer software.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, service calls, invoices, and related documentation.
- Coordinate service updates and provide customers with accurate status information.
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous dispatching experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in the towing, transportation, or logistics industry is an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with computers, dispatch software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel when required.
Travel Requirement:
- Must be able to visit company locations in Northern Ontario, including Thunder Bay, Nipigon, and Moonbeam.
