Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of construction projects, including restoration, carpentry, plumbing, and more. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, physically capable, and ready to contribute to building and renovating structures efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Assist with general construction tasks such as material handling, site cleanup, and preparation
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to support carpentry, framing, and other construction activities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assist in project execution
- Support installation of flooring, drywall, and other related work
- Perform restoration tasks including caulking, painting, and surface preparation
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications
Landscaping Duties
- Installation of sod, trees, shrubs, mulch, decorative rock, and planting beds
- Grading and site preparation using hand tools and equipment
- Excavation and trenching assistance
- Installation of retaining walls, pavers, pathways, and patios
- Fence and deck construction assistance
- Irrigation and drainage installation support
- Property cleanups and final project detailing
- Snow removal assistance during winter months (if applicable)
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools, carpentry, or general construction is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation or valid driver’s license is preferred for site access
