About the Company
Infrared Pavement Repair (IPR) specializes in infrared asphalt repair services, using advanced infrared technology to complete efficient and environmentally responsible pavement repairs. We are a growing company and are currently looking for General Labourers to join our field crews.
This position is unionized through LIUNA.
Position Summary
As a seasonal General Labourer, you will work as part of a crew performing infrared asphalt repair on roads, parking lots, and paved surfaces. This is hands‑on, outdoor work that requires reliability, physical stamina, and a strong team mindset.
Union membership with LIUNA is required or will be arranged for successful applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with infrared asphalt repair operations
- Shovelling, raking, compacting, and material handling
- Assist equipment operators and crew members as directed
- Set up and clean up job sites
- Follow all safety procedures and job‑site rules
- Work efficiently as part of a crew to complete daily tasks
Qualifications
- DZ / AZ Class drivers license
- Must have 3 years of documented driving experience (letter of driving reference required)
- Previous labour or construction experience is an asset, but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Willingness to join or already a member of LIUNA (there is a fee to join)
Assets:
- Asphalt or roadwork experience
