We're working with ADAM Integrated Industries to help them find a Welder.
Position Summary:
We are seeking motivated, reliable individuals to join our Welding Department as Production Welders.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and genuinely value contributing to a team effort that supports our company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
What You Would Typically Do In This Role:
- Read and interpret technical diagrams to determine the weld requirements
- Determine the proper gas ratios and power settings for the welding process
- Accurately operate welding equipment to perform gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
- Use grinders and sanders as required for finishing to produce a product free of burrs
- Operate overhead crane and lifting equipment to move parts as needed
- Complete First Article Inspections to verify all dimensions and specifications of the first piece for each job order
- Evaluate the final product for conformance with the drawing and specifications
- Maintain and submit accurate logs of production activities and output
- Perform all tasks in accordance with ADAM’s Quality Manual
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the production floor and assist others as needed
- Comply with all health and safety standards and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Work in a structured organization with minimal supervision and a positive attitude
- Maintain positive working relationships with other employees of the company
- Other duties as assigned
What You Need To Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Journeyperson certification or a minimum of C-level (Foundation) or an equivalent certification. Registered apprentices will also be considered.
- Experience with steel MIG welding techniques
- Familiarity with the most commonly used MIG welding tools and techniques
- The ability to understand technical drawings and written or oral job instructions
- Ability to tolerate wearing a respirator
- Good understanding of math and measurement
- Ability to use basic measuring devices (square, callipers, verniers, measuring tape)
- Must be able to complete in-house overhead or jib crane training
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to welding work and a full commitment to safety
- The ability to communicate clearly in both spoken and written English
- Physical ability to stand and work on concrete floors for long periods.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg (55 lbs.)
- Flexibility to work overtime if required
- TIG welding experience is beneficial, but not mandatory
