ROOM ATTENDANTS - FULL TIME AND PART TIME

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & TASKS:
Our Room Attendants are an integral part of Rosemead House and this position oversees day-to day operations of Housekeeping, and works closely with other departments.
- Ensure all guest requests and special instructions are followed.
- Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, and cleaning surfaces.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings and empty trash receptacles and replace with clean liners.
- Vacuum carpets and sweep or mop floors and Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Check and replace amenities such as towels, toiletries, and coffee supplies.
- Inspect rooms for damage or maintenance issues and report them to the appropriate department.
- Clean outdoor areas such as patios, balconies, and outdoor furniture.
- Clean and organize storage areas, linen closets, and housekeeping carts.
- Clean and sanitize common areas such as hallways, stairwells, and lobby areas.
- Launder bed linens, towels, and other textiles.
- Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners and mops.
- Restock cleaning supplies and amenities.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects or renovations as required.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to improve skills and knowledge.
- Assist with special events or functions by setting up and cleaning event spaces.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide excellent guest service.
- Walk and stand for extended periods of time as well as bending, crouching and kneeling.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum 6 months of housekeeping experience as a Room Attendant preferably in luxury hotel setting is required.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance at all times.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management proficiencies
- Proficient in cleaning methodologies, sanitation standards, and the operation of cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs, and lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
- Proficiency in independent and team-oriented work environments.
- Strong time management abilities and adeptness in task prioritization.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a polished, welcoming demeanour.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
