Site Supervisor / Carpenter – Laneway Homes Division
We’re looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / Carpenter to lead and support our laneway home construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can oversee site activity while actively contributing to carpentry work across all phases of the build.
You will be responsible for ensuring projects run efficiently, safely, and to a high standard — coordinating trades, managing workflow, and setting the tone on site.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day site operations on laneway home projects
- Perform hands-on carpentry including framing, layout, drywall, and finishing work
- Hang drywall and complete taping and sanding as required
- Complete tile work including preparation and installation
- Perform painting of walls, ceilings, and trim
- Coordinate trades, subcontractors, and deliveries to maintain project timelines
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and scope of work
- Ensure job progress aligns with schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
- Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times
- Communicate effectively with project managers, team members, and trades
- Monitor workmanship and ensure all work meets company standards
- Support and mentor junior team members and labourers
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills
- 4+ years of carpentry and residential construction experience (required)
- Proven experience leading or supervising projects or crews
- Strong framing and finishing carpentry skills
- Ability to read and work from construction drawings and plans
- Solid understanding of full residential builds from start to finish
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining timelines
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
- Strong communication skills and team mindset
- Must have own hand tools and reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing demanding work

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
