Job Summary:
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the service calls for technicians across Ontario Canada and administer related paperwork.
Job Responsibilities (but are not limited to):
- Receive and process service requests from customers
- Dispatch service technicians to customer locations
- Coordinate and schedule service appointments (i.e., determine priorities to be assigned to service calls)
- Monitor service progress and update customers on status
- Maintain accurate records of service calls and technician availability
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient service delivery (i.e., confirm if parts have been received so that the job can be scheduled)
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Provide assistance with clerical duties as required
Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze and solve problems quickly and effectively
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer applications
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (word and excel)
- Knowledge of geographical dispatching area is considered an asset
