About Us:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of industrial vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including trucks, loaders, and forklifts
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and implement effective solutions
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, and monitor parts inventory
- Work collaboratively with operations and production teams to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school required
- Completion of a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic apprenticeship or minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy machinery
- Experience working with industrial trucks, forklifts, and other mobile equipment
- Physically capable of handling heavy equipment in a workshop and field environment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
- Welding and fabrication skills (asset)
- Forklift and heavy equipment certification
- Experience in waste management or industrial operations
Work Conditions:
- Physically demanding role, involving lifting, bending, and standing
- Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and heavy machinery
- Overtime and weekend work may be required
