Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, utilizing your expertise in cooking, food safety, and food handling to create delicious meals for our guests. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, and a strong understanding of the food industry standards is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and work stations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Follow proper serving procedures to ensure guest orders are accurately fulfilled
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal presentation
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays if required (6am is the earliest start and 5pm is the latest finish on any shift.)
- Basic knowledge of serving practices within a restaurant setting is a plus
