Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista/Customer Service professional to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks following established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving food items and managing inventory
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
- Uphold food safety standards in accordance with health regulations and company policies
Skills
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
- Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, and food industry best practices is a plus
