Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As an Exec Social Media & Content Strategist, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing social media content that supports and amplifies the CEO’s voice, thought leadership, and strategic positioning. This role plays a critical part in shaping how Vancity’s leadership shows up publicly by managing the day‑to‑day execution and optimization of the CEO’s social media presence, capturing content from executive engagements, and ensuring alignment with enterprise messaging while maintaining a distinct, leader‑led voice. We’re seeking a strategic, creative communications professional who is comfortable working closely with senior leaders and navigating both planned and real‑time storytelling
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Advisor to the CEO. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Producing written, visual, and short-form content aligned with the CEO’s thought‑leadership priorities and values‑based banking narrative
- Executing and managing the CEO’s personal social media presence across approved platforms including posting, monitoring, and engagement
- Capturing real-time content at select internal and external events involving the CEO or Advisor to the CEO
- Partnering closely with the Advisor to the CEO to reinforce advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and leadership positioning strategies
- Collaborating with the Marketing social media team to ensure coordinated amplification and brand alignment
- Analyzing social media performance metrics to optimize reach, engagement, and credibility of the CEO’s digital presence
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- A post‑secondary degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in social media strategy, executive communications, or digital content roles
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting executive‑level or thought‑leadership social media accounts
- Strong writing and storytelling skills across multiple content formats and platforms
- Experience using social media analytics tools to evaluate performance and inform strategy
- Ability to work with discretion and sound judgment in a senior‑leader environment

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of 69,700 to 86,100 per annum. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
