Job Title: Golf Cart Mechanic
Department: Service & Maintenance
Reports To: Operations Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Golf Cart Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain electric and gas-powered golf carts. Also to help with general clubhouse maintenence. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while ensuring all vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Also looking for a team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electric and gas golf carts
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and battery-related issues
- Repair or replace motors, brakes, steering systems, suspensions, tires, and other components
- Test batteries, chargers, wiring, and electrical systems
- Conduct safety inspections and preventative maintenance
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Order and manage parts inventory as needed
- Clean and prepare carts for customer delivery or rental use
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs when required
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines
- General clubhouse maintenance
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mechanic, small engine technician, or golf cart technician preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems, battery maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in indoor/outdoor environments
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is an asset
Preferred Skills
- Experience with brands such as Club Car, EZGO, or Yamaha
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
- Full-time or part-time positions available
- May require weekend or seasonal overtime
- Work performed in shop and outdoor environments
