Rodd Miramichi River Resort is seeking an Sous Chef to join their culinary team. This is an opportunity to work in a 5-star Hotel with a Restaurant and a strong Banquet business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Executive Chef to assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations across restaurant and banquet services and ensuring smooth execution
- Uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Lead, train, and mentor a diverse culinary team, promoting professional development, accountability, and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Support inventory control, ordering, and cost management to meet operational and financial goals
- Act as lead of the Kitchen team in the absence of Executive Chef
- Collaborate with leadership to implement systems, methods, and processes that drive efficiency and culinary excellence
Job Requirements:
- Proven success as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager or lead cook in a high-volume restaurant or resort restaurant
- Strong passion for culinary excellence and service
- Proven ability to develop team
- Knowledge of systems, methods, and processes that contribute to great execution
- Stable job history which demonstrates upward career progression
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00-$43,000.00 per year
