Night Patrol Attendant (Overnight)
Location: Leuschen Transportation Yard
Shift: Overnight (Seasonal Hours)
We are seeking a dependable and observant Night Patrol Attendant to help protect our fleet and property during overnight hours. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the security of our yard by conducting continuous patrols, identifying unusual activity, and responding appropriately to potential security concerns.
Schedule
- School Year Hours: 9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
- Summer Hours: 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Overnight (graveyard/third shift) work is required.
Responsibilities
- Continuously patrol the yard at a slow, safe speed throughout your shift.
- Operate a patrol vehicle equipped with an activated amber strobe light at all times while on patrol.
- Monitor all areas of the property, including between and underneath parked vehicles.
- Patrol the main yard, back yard, and extended GOVA Plus/ Zone parking area as well as the front of the building into the Deluxe parking area.
- Remain alert for suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, or potential security issues.
- Accurately document observations and provide information to law enforcement when required.
Safety & Security Procedures
- Do not approach or confront suspicious individuals.
- Observe and monitor situations from a safe distance to determine intentions.
- If a theft or crime is in progress, immediately call 911.
- Do not attempt to intervene or place yourself at risk.
- Record important details that may assist responding police officers.
Qualifications
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and in all weather conditions.
- Able to remain attentive while performing continuous patrols.
