Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and skilled General Construction Labourer (Casual) to support various construction and restoration projects. This role involves assisting with multiple trades, including carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and finishing work. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction techniques, the ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment, and a proactive approach to safety and quality. This position offers flexible scheduling for individuals eager to gain diverse experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Construction site clean up
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Offloading construction materials from a truck
- Assisting trades people on site
- Execute masonry work including bricklaying and concrete work
- Support construction projects involving drywall, painting, flooring installation, and general repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards
Skills
- Good communication skills
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, masonry, carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and tile laying
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in construction environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting on-site issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in dynamic settings
- Flexibility to adapt to various tasks across different trades within the construction industry
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $18.00-$25.00 based on project
- Flexible work schedule – lots of overtime available
- Paid weekly, every Friday.
- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and on weekends
