Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our engineering and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with various CAD and project management software. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical systems, supporting product development, and ensuring operational efficiency across multiple projects.. The Mechanical Technician will play a vital role in system design, maintenance, and technical support to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
● Prepare CAD engineering designs, drawings and specifications using Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360.
● Perform mechanical tests and analyses of laser machines, press brakes, and components/materials including aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel.
● Assist in designing jigs and fixtures and convert designs into CAM programs for machining or laser cutting operations.
● Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects.
● Install, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience required.
- Certificate or diploma from Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technician program of 1 to 2 years.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Fusion 360 ; experience is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within teams and with clients.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and analysis reports accurately.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities along with time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer operation skills required for documentation and data analysis.
