Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join their dynamic team in Windsor. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth warehouse and production operations by moving, loading, unloading, and staging raw materials, finished goods, and production components. If you are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced with forklifts, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts.
- Load and unload trailers, containers, and transport vehicles.
- Deliver materials and components to production lines in a timely manner.
- Inspect materials and packaging for damage or discrepancies.
- Track inventory accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanners.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas in line with 5S standards.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, stock audits, and cycle counts.
- Report material shortages, damages, or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in training and forklift recertification programs as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid forklift certification (counterbalance, reach, or clamp truck).
- Minimum 2 years of recent forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.
- Must be available to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days and midnights.
- 6-inch static-dissipative work boots.
- Successfully pass a Criminal Background Check
