We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paint Technician.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with vehicles, takes pride in clean work, and is willing to learn a hands-on trade. Previous experience in automotive paint, detailing, or body work is considered an asset, but it is not required. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
As a Paint Technician, you will be trained to:
- Rinse and prepare vehicles for paint touch-up
- Complete paint chip, scratch, and bumper gouge repairs
- Buff and finish vehicles after repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Travel to client locations as needed
- Work efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail
Work Environment
This position involves working both indoors and outdoors throughout the year. Candidates must be comfortable working in different weather conditions, including heat and cold, within reason.
The role also involves working with automotive chemicals, including acetone. Proper gloves and safety procedures will be provided and required.
Travel is required, as we service clients all over Greater Toronto Area.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least a G2 Class driver’s license
- Have reliable transportation
- Be willing to travel to different client locations
- Be detail-oriented and take pride in quality work
- Be reliable, punctual, and motivated
- Be comfortable working outdoors in different seasons
- Be willing to learn and follow a proven repair process
- Have previous automotive paint, detailing, or body shop experience, though this is not required
Compensation
This is a piece-rate/commission-based position, meaning your pay is based on the number of vehicles completed.
Compensation includes:
- Percentage of each completed vehicle
- Typical volume of approximately 6–15 vehicles per day
- Potential earnings of up to $150-$300 per day, with the opportunity to increase with proper motivation.
Vehicle completion generally takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the repair work required.
