REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY
JOB DESCRIPTION: Licensed Heavy Duty On-Road Mechanic - 4th year Apprentices or Journeyman - Mining or Construction Experience
Currently looking for a Licensed Heavy-Duty On-Road Mechanic that are either 4th year apprentices or journeyman to fill a Camp Position. MUST be able to start immediately as you will flyout next week. Pay is based on experience.
Potential candidates must have familiarity with on road equipment. There may be an option at the end of the contract for permanent full time camp employment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Safe, efficient, effective operation, and regular maintenance of handled equipment
· Compliant with company and customer safety requirements
· Able to work independently as well as within a team
· Able to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical faults using schematics
· Perform brake and safety inspections
· Able to diagnose and repair power train, electrical systems, HVAC system, air ride, suspensions, drum and disk brakes, wheels and hubs, differentials, air valves, hydraulic steering system
· Complete required documentation on repairs made and parts used.
· Other duties as directed by the manager
Qualifications:
· Self-motivating
- Caterpillar equipment experience is required
· Competent in reading and interpreting schematics
· Minimum 3 years experience
· Poses a Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician Red Seal Certification
