About the Role
The Officer, Academic Programs with a strategic focus on scheduling and planning, develops, and implements all programs and activities related to course offerings, curriculum, scheduling and teaching support. In collaboration with the supervisor, the incumbent develops, plans, implements and evaluates the short and long-term scheduling and course planning strategies and programming in order to meet the School's goals and objectives. The incumbent develops and administers the course planning activities and processes for the School of Computing Science and is the expert within these areas. The incumbent also provides advice and administrative support on key academic issues to all prospective and registered students in accordance with University and Faculty policies.
This position requires a strong understanding of academic program administration across undergraduate, professional master's, and thesis-based graduate programs. The successful candidate will have experience supporting complex academic operations, including teaching assistant administration, program management, course scheduling, and academic planning. They will thrive in a dynamic academic environment, balancing operational priorities, institutional policies, and student support to ensure the effective delivery of academic programs.
