Operations Supervisor – Security Services

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated Operations Supervisor to join our growing security team. The successful candidate will oversee daily security operations, supervise security personnel, ensure exceptional client service, and support the Operations Manager in maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support security officers assigned to various client sites.
- Coordinate schedules and ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and client concerns in a timely manner.
- Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure officers comply with company policies, post orders, and industry regulations.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to security personnel.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new employees.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and address service-related issues.
- Coordinate emergency shift coverage when required.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and performance.
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
- Assist in developing and implementing operational procedures to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in the security industry.
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid Certification.
- Experience using scheduling and workforce management software.
- Knowledge of BC Employment Standards and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Experience managing multiple sites and mobile patrol operations.
