Position Summary
The Sales Development Representative proactively identifies customer needs and delivers solutions that drive customer satisfaction and support company growth objectives. This role is focused on providing exceptional customer service, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to sales and revenue goals. Position open in Mississauga - Ontario
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls in a courteous and professional manner, with a focus on generating and maintaining sales opportunities within the existing customer base.
- Manage customer service requests promptly and accurately, including order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credits, and claims.
- Respond to written customer correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow up with customers after sales to resolve issues, provide support, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide timely customer feedback and market information to the Sales Lead.
- Participate in training sessions, product knowledge meetings, sales meetings, and company events as requested.
- Monitor local market conditions and competitor activity, and recommend opportunities for new products or inventory.
- Resolve product-related concerns, including defective products, returns, and warranty claims.
- Perform outbound sales and follow-up calls.
- Support additional duties and projects as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education or technical knowledge is considered an asset.
- Minimum 1–3 years of sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English and French is required
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong negotiation, objection handling, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
- Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
- Motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Manages multiple priorities effectively while maintaining accuracy across orders, quotes, and communications.
- Approaches challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, offering alternatives when standard options are not feasible.
- Prioritizes tasks appropriately and responds to customer needs in a timely manner. This includes walk-in customers, phone calls and email correspondence.
