Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced accounting software and tools to maintain precise financial records and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliation, to verify accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports,
- Utilize accounting software Sage 300 ERP for bookkeeping and financial record maintenance.
- Conduct auditing procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
- Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.
- Support account analysis activities to identify discrepancies or variances in financial data.
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions and reports for audit purposes.
- Balance and pay GST, PST, Employee taxes, EHT & Corp taxes
- Bank reconciliation
- Prepare financials for accountant
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software Sage 300 ERP an asset
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Experience with corporate finance activities such as budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and financial services operations.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to identify discrepancies or errors in financial data.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems or processes related to accounting functions..

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
